El Mexicano - Sanford, ME

Best Mexican food we have had in Maine. Excellent portions and delicious food. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my husband with a soy allergy. We ordered take out but the restaurant was really cute. We would definitely love to eat inside some time :) 10/10 recommend

11/10! This is my favorite restaurant in Sanford. I've been 4 times now and every time the food has been AMAZING! The value is great too! Staff is always nice, food is even better. Pictured is a birria taco and a baja taco. I highly recommend the birria tacos, they are phenomenal!

Finally a good Mexican restaurant. My husband is from Mexico City, I've taken him to almost every place in the state looking for Mexican food that will suffice his high standards lol. Finally this unassuming little place in a strip mall has delivered!

hands down me and my partners favorite restaurant. i thought i've had good mexican food until i tried this place!! we've been here multiple times and order takeout a fair share from here as well, and our orders have always been correct and tasted like heaven. good job and thank you for being my favorite stop!

Glad to find this gem in Sanford. The best burritos I've ever had! Recommend the tomatillo burrito, the Sanford burrito was delicious too. If you like spice, ask for the picante salsa. The atmosphere and the service was great too!
